Rajasthan Ganita Parishad was formed in 1987. Since its inception in 1987, it has strived to further cause of Mathematics in all its forms: viz. by organizing annual sessions of the Parishad which provide an opportunity to young researchers to present their research papers and to the teachers to participate in the Symposia on a subject of current Mathematical interest. During the 52nd conference of Indian Mathematical Society, held at Rajasthan University, Jaipur, an adhoc committee of ten founder members for "Rajasthan Ganita Parishad (RGP)" was formed. The first convention of RGP was held at Government College, Ajmer (Feb 20-21, 1987) in birth centenary year of Great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan with its head office at Department of Mathematics, Government College, Ajmer (Rajasthan) India .
